One Peace Books has announced the September 24th English release of a new manga series series, Nukozuke! by Yuki Iro. This feel-good, slow-life comedy series is about the most adorable pets this world has ever seen: nukos, or pocket-sized cat-humans.
When Yuya takes in two abandoned little nukos during a rainstorm, the hot-and-cold calico Kei and the sugar-sweet Sasame, the nukos think it’s their lucky day—but it turns out Yuya himself needs plenty of care-taking. The curtain rises on this heartwarming Japanese favorite, featuring scene after scene of adorable.
Brought into English with a lively translation by Laura Egan (Captain Corinth), Nukozuke! is all about the lovely little moments in a life with nukos. Cat-lovers everywhere and anyone in need of a pick-me-up are guaranteed to fall for this series. One Peace Books will release the first volume on September 24th, shortly followed up by the second this November. In Japan, the series is still running, currently on its whopping 21st volume, in an expansive world with not just comedy but tragedy in the background.
