DANGEN Entertainment has announced that Kingdom of Night, its 1980s-inspired isometric action RPG blending coming-of-age drama with cosmic horror, will launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on November 5, 2026.
The console announcement comes alongside a new Console Release Date Trailer, offering a look at the chaos awaiting players in Miami, Arizona. What begins as an ordinary Friday night in 1987 quickly turns into a fight for survival after a satanic cult unleashes the ancient demon Baphomet, leaving high school student John and his friends to fend off the supernatural forces consuming their hometown.
Preorders for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S versions begin September 17, with a 10% discount available for those who preorder ahead of launch. PlayStation 5 players will also have access to the exclusive Kingdom of Night — MIDNIGHT EDITION, which includes the full game alongside the “NIGHT OF ’97” PSN Avatar Collection featuring 25 character-based avatars.
Originally released for PC in December 2025, Kingdom of Night combines pixel-art visuals and 1980s nostalgia with supernatural horror and open-ended exploration. Players can explore the town, uncover the stories of its residents, battle powerful Demon Generals in any order, and venture into massive demon lairs as they attempt to stop the invasion.
The RPG offers five playable classes: Barbarian, Knight, Rogue, Necromancer, and Sorcerer. Each class provides a different approach to combat, while skill trees, weapons, armor, rare loot, and other equipment allow players to customize their characters throughout the adventure.
The entire game can be played solo or through two-player local co-op, giving players the option to face the demonic invasion alone or bring a friend along for the fight. With its console release approaching, Kingdom of Night is set to bring its particular mix of teenage drama, 1980s nostalgia, and demonic horror to a new audience this November.
