The goddesses of Gamindustri are preparing for another adventure, and fans won’t have to wait much longer to experience their latest journey outside Japan. Idea Factory International has announced that Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited will launch in the West in 2027, bringing Compile Heart’s latest mainline RPG to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Originally released in Japan on August 27, 2026, Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited marks the first mainline entry in the franchise since Megadimension Neptunia VII in 2015. Its arrival represents a significant new chapter for the series, reuniting players with Neptune and the other goddesses while introducing a fresh adventure built around a world facing repeated apocalyptic threats.

The story begins when an asteroid strikes, setting the end of the world into motion. With everything seemingly lost, Neptune finds herself alone in a mysterious white void, where a strange voice and numbers etched onto her cheek offer the possibility of another attempt. Activating her ability to retry sets off a repeating cycle of endings and beginnings, forcing Neptune and her companions to overcome countless defeats as they search for a way to confront the true Doomsday.

Exploration and combat are also receiving a substantial shake-up. The goddesses can now seamlessly transition between running and flying, allowing them to explore more expansive dungeons, reach rooftops and waterways, and discover hidden items throughout their surroundings. Flight also plays a major role in combat, with characters able to transform into their goddess forms and take their battles into the skies. The revamped combo system, new EXE Drive animations, and enormous world bosses provide further changes to the familiar RPG formula.

Character customization is receiving additional attention as well, allowing players to change their favourite goddesses’ colours, equip accessories with adjustable sizes and positioning, and strengthen Processor Unit equipment discovered throughout dungeons. The returning Disc Make system also allows players to craft items that grant characters new abilities, providing additional ways to customize their party.

Tsunako, the franchise’s renowned illustrator, also returns with new artwork and redesigned goddesses, maintaining the recognizable visual identity that has helped distinguish the series over the years.

Physical editions will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch 2, with the latter featuring the complete game on its cartridge. Players on Nintendo Switch and PC will have digital options, while the PlayStation 4 release will also receive a physical edition.
