HoYoverse is bringing its upcoming life simulation game Petit Planet to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027, expanding the game’s reach beyond its previously announced PC and mobile platforms.

The free-to-play title will launch first on PC via the Epic Games Store and client download, as well as iOS and Android devices, on December 4, 2026. The newly announced Switch 2 version will follow next year, although a specific release date has yet to be revealed.

Petit Planet invites players to become Planet Tenders, embarking on a cosmic journey to build and nurture their own worlds. Players begin by planting a Luca Seed, which gradually grows into a Luca Arbor that influences the planet’s landscape, seasons, and ecosystem.

Life on these planets extends beyond simply tending to the environment. Players will encounter a growing cast of Neighbors, each with their own stories, and can develop friendships through various interactions. The game also allows players to explore the Starsea, visit scattered Islets, and head to the Galactic Bazaar to participate in activities, auctions, and social experiences.

With its emphasis on planet customization, friendship, and exploration, Petit Planet is shaping up to be another cozy life simulation experience from HoYoverse. The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 release will give players another way to experience the game, though further details about the console version have yet to be announced.
