Arc System Works America, Inc. today announced that Queen Dizzy will release on October 31, 2024 for 2.5D fighting game GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-, currently available on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Steam®, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows platforms.
The first DLC character for Season 4, Queen Dizzy will arrive alongside a major game update on the same day, which will include the addition of new moves for certain characters and battle balance adjustments. Detailed information on Queen Dizzy and the major update will be announced soon on the official GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- website and official SNS (@GUILTYGEAR_PR).
In addition, the second Beta Test of the new TEAM OF 3 online battle mode will be held from November 8-11, 2024. During this test, PLAYER MATCH and SKILL CUSTOMIZE functions, which were not available in the previous beta test, will be unlocked. The brand-new TEAM OF 3 mode pits six players (two teams of three) against each other in a single match via online versus mode. This features a 3 vs 3 team battle system where players fight based on their assigned roles (Main or Assist). The Assist can perform various actions and skills to support the Main player. Main and Assist positions can be changed during the fight. The beta test does not require a purchased copy of the GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- base game*, and the test will include all additional characters up to Slayer.
The second GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- “TEAM OF 3” Open Beta Test will include the following playable modes and functions:
- TUTORIAL – Learn the basics before joining the team battle.
- ONLINE MATCH – Play a new online competitive mode with 6 players.
- PLAYER MATCH – You can create a room for up to 9 players to not only play 3-on-3 TEAM OF 3 matches and spectate, but irregular 3-on-1 and 2-on-2 matches as well. (There will always be one “main” per team.)
- SKILL CUSTOMIZE – Customize your skills and parameters when playing as the “assist” in TEAM OF 3. Enjoy adjusting the combination of all 5 roles and all 32 skills to suit your playstyle. (Basic presets are provided for each role.)
Season Pass 4 for GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE is available now for $24.99, including 4 additional characters, two new battle stages, the Guilty Gear -Strive- Additional Color Pack #4, and the Season Pass Bonus: Premium Color Pack (31 Character Colors, 1 per character). Familiar faces like Dizzy and Venom will return to the roster as playable characters, as well as Unika from the new “Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers” anime series and guest character Lucy from the “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” anime series, a first-ever content collaboration for the Guilty Gear series, working alongside the producer of the show CD PROJEKT RED. More details on Season Pass 4 content release timing will be shared at a later date.
The Guilty Gear video game series continues to push the envelope with its newest installment, GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-, having now surpassed 3 million players globally (via packaged form and download). The 2.5D fighting game is available for PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Steam®, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows.

*The TEAM OF 3 beta test is run on a separate application from the base game GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-. Participants must download the beta from their respective platform store page.
*In addition to single player matching, it is also possible to match teams of two or three friends.
*In the event there are not enough team members, teams of three members will be automatically formed.
*Online play is also available to those without PlayStation®Plus or Xbox Live Gold.
*A network connection is required even when playing in offline modes.
*Downloading the application and online play are free, but additional telecommunication fees are the responsibility of the consumer.
*Save data cannot be transferred to the main game.
*TEAM OF 3 open beta test content may vary from final implemented version.
