Godzilla has officially entered the race in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, with SEGA releasing the Godzilla Pack as part of the game’s second year of post-launch content. The crossover brings three vehicles inspired by some of Toho’s most recognizable kaiju, alongside a new course that puts players in the middle of a frantic escape from the King of the Monsters himself.
The Godzilla Pack introduces the Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe, and Mothra Surf vehicles, giving players three distinctly monstrous ways to hit the track. The update also adds the Godzilla Escape course, where racers must navigate the city while avoiding Godzilla’s devastating attacks. Three accompanying music tracks have also been added to the Jukebox: Godzilla Escape: Intro, Godzilla Escape, and Godzilla Escape: Final Lap.
The crossover will receive its own limited-time festival, running from November 5 at 4:00 PM PT until November 15 at 3:59 PM PT. Players can participate in the Godzilla Festival to earn festival points and unlock rewards, including decals, gadgets, and other items. It should give fans another reason to return to the racing game, particularly those interested in seeing how the kaiju crossover translates into its multiplayer events.
Players who own the Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition will receive the Godzilla Pack automatically through Season Pass Two. Those who would rather purchase the content separately can pick up the standalone Godzilla Pack for $5.99 USD, while the complete Season Pass Two is available for $29.99 USD and includes additional characters, vehicles, and courses.
Importantly, owning the Godzilla Pack is not a requirement for participating in online races featuring the crossover. Players who have not purchased the content can still compete against those using the Godzilla-themed machines and race on the Godzilla Escape course, making the event accessible to the wider player base.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The standard edition starts at $39.99 USD, while the Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game and Season Pass Two, is available for $59.99 USD.
