A new rumor suggests that Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered could receive additional DLC featuring Legendary Pictures’ version of Godzilla. The potential addition would bring the MonsterVerse incarnation of the King of the Monsters into Atari and Pipeworks’ revived kaiju fighting game.

According to dataminer Cpt Hazama, Legendary Godzilla could be among the characters planned for future downloadable content. The source has previously drawn attention for correctly predicting that DLC would be available alongside the game’s launch. However, while that earlier prediction adds some credibility to the latest claim, neither Atari nor Pipeworks has confirmed plans to introduce the MonsterVerse version of Godzilla.

The possibility is particularly interesting given that Godzilla x Kong: Supernova is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 25, 2027. Adding Legendary Godzilla could give players another recognizable incarnation of the monster to control while capitalizing on renewed interest in the MonsterVerse ahead of the upcoming film. Whether the rumored DLC would arrive around the movie’s release remains unclear.

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered launched on November 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Developed by Pipeworks and published by Atari, the remaster brings back the 2002 kaiju arena fighter with enhanced visuals, online multiplayer, and an updated progression system. Its Digital Deluxe Upgrade also includes additional cosmetic content and a new map, although Legendary Godzilla has not been announced as part of the existing offering.

For now, fans will have to wait for an official announcement before getting too excited about the possibility of adding MonsterVerse Godzilla to the roster.
