Bonus Stage Publishing and Plebeian Studio have announced that Physics-based gladiator fighting game Gladio Mori will leave Early Access and launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on September 16, . A new demo is also available on all platforms, allowing players to experience the game’s brutal combat ahead of its full release.

Gladio Mori originally launched in Early Access on Steam on November 26, 2024. Since then, the game has continued to expand with new content and improvements, with the developers preparing the physics-driven fighter for its version 1.0 release.

The game puts players in the role of gladiators battling in intense arena fights where traditional health bars are replaced by an organ-based damage system. Attacks can damage muscles, sever arteries, or strike vital organs, with a well-placed hit potentially ending a fight immediately. This makes positioning and precision just as important as the weapons being used.

Gladio Mori also features realistic weapons and armor designed around the physics of each fight. Armor can protect players from incoming attacks while leaving certain areas vulnerable, forcing fighters to look for openings rather than simply attacking their opponents head-on.

One of the game’s biggest features is its customizable move editor. Players can create their own attacks and animations by directly controlling their character’s movements, allowing them to build specialized fighting styles or experiment with unconventional techniques. Players who would rather not create their own moves can also use movesets created and shared by the community.

Battles can be played online or locally through split-screen multiplayer, with support for up to four players. Players can also practice against AI opponents while experimenting with different weapons, armor, and movesets.

The demo was recently brought back to Steam and consoles, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with crossplay support. It includes selected weapon sets and access to multiplayer, giving newcomers an opportunity to try out Gladio Mori’s physics-based combat before the full release.
