Striker Entertainment has signed an exclusive partnership with Horror, Inc. and Friday 13th LLC. to oversee global consumer products for Jason Universe, the definitive umbrella brand for the iconic horror franchise. And we are already seeing some interesting developments, as Striker LLC mentioned Friday the 13th: The Game as an avenue for fans to experience to franchise.
The asymmetrical survival horror game was originally delisted in 2023 with all servers shutting down in 2024 due to the developers licensing rights expiring amid ongoing legal issues. With the press release stating that they are overseeing all Friday the 13th products and are looking to push the franchise in new ways, they specifically name dropped Friday the 13th: The Game and grouped it with more of the franchises projects that are currently in development.
Under the agreement, Striker, in conjunction with Horror’s CMO Sheri Conn, will oversee global consumer products for Jason Universe, the definitive umbrella brand for the iconic horror franchise.
This initiative also includes Friday the 13th: The Game and Crystal Lake, giving fans new ways to connect with the legacy of Jason Voorhees through a broad range of merchandise worldwide.
Perhaps we will finally see the content the developers wanted to put in the game originally. Either way, this is great news for Friday the 13th fans.
