Bitmap Bureau has given a significant update for Final Vendetta on the Neo Geo

First off we have some good news, Final Vendetta Neo Geo started final checks and tests! CHA board aspects are complete and we have begun PCB programming.

You may also have seen our other recent announcement; where the team behind Goodboy Galaxy have joined our group, and we’re helping them get Goodboy Galaxy GBA into your hands too.

The Bitmap Bureau team has been working hard behind the scenes to get our retro development back on track, we are extremely grateful for everyone’s patience and support. We have hired a number of new team members growing the studio even more this last year, we continue to invest heavily into retro development – we have a lot more retro planned for the future!

We appreciate though, that we’ve been a little too quiet in updating everyone with all the progress, so from today onwards we’re going to do a fortnightly mini blog post. Keeping you informed with all the details on the Final Vendetta Neo Geo programming, assembly and distribution steps, right up until you receive your copy.

C ROMs, M ROMs and S ROMs are all final. All AES CHA board programming is complete and verified! The MVS CHA board programming phase is also well under way.

For the more nerdy types, we had a less than 0.35% failure rate on the AES CHA PCBs programmed from those manufactured.

Retro is at the heart of Bitmap Bureau, we’re doing everything we can to get these projects out the door. We then look forward to the next wave of releases in the future!

One thing we have learnt though, is that development and production delays have a big impact on our customers. So we’ve taken the decision that for all our future retro releases, we will only put them up for sale once the development is 100% complete and we’re actively into assembly. Heavily shortening the time from online purchase to receiving your copy!

Thanks again for all your support!

Bitmap Bureau
