Square Enix announced has announced a new Final Fantasy XIV expansion, entitled Dawntrail during its Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest 2023 Las Vegas. The expansion will launch in summer 2024 for Patch 7.0 , but that is not all as an Xbox Series version of Final Fantasy XIV is planned for release in spring 2024, with an open beta scheduled for patch 6.5X.

Winds of opportunity bring a visitor from the New World, seeking the Warrior of Light’s aid in a rite of succession to determine Tural’s next ruler.
Alongside Alphinaud, Alisaie, and Erenville, the Warrior of Light embarks upon a journey across the Indigo Deep. Should rumor be true, the contest may lead them to the fabled gates of a city of gold.
Little do they know that it will also see the Scions divided…

■ New Hub City
Tuliyollal in Yok Tural
The seat of the federal nation state governing Tural, Tuliyollal. it is located in the northern reaches of Yok Tural.
The nation’s ruler is currently Gulool Ja Ja, a two-headed mamool ja.
Tuliyollal is a pluralistic city with an established sea route to Old Sharlayan.
■ New Areas
Urqopacha in Yok Tural
A mountainous region in Yok Tural, home to peoples both exceedingly large and unusually small in stature.
Over a thousand years ago—long before Tuliyollal came to be—Urqopacha was the proud heart of the giants’ empire, which spanned the entirety of Yok Tural. While their descendants live on in the region, only the ruins remain of the empire’s glory days.
Yak Tel in Yok Tural
A thick forest accessible from Tuliyollal via dirigible flight over the southeastern mountains. So dense is its foliage that the forest floor sees little sunlight.
Home to the primary settlements of Tural’s hrothgar and mamool ja, and replete with stunning cenotes harboring cerulean ponds and springs.

The Pelupelu
A diminutive people inhabiting Urqopacha.
Seldom seen without their distinctive masks.
Natural entreprenuers who travel the continent on alpaca-back.
Renowned producers of tea, coffee, and mezcal.
■ Also Coming in Version 7.0
Level Cap Increase
Level 90 to Level 100.
Two New Jobs
Both jobs will be DPS (damage per second) jobs. One is melee DPS, the other is ranged magical DPS.
Producer and director Naoki Yoshida teased these new jobs with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem t-shirt.
