SNK has confirmed that Kim Kaphwan will be the third DLC fighter joining FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves as part of Season Pass 3, with the legendary taekwondo master set to enter the roster on September 24, 2026.
Kim Kaphwan first made his debut in Fatal Fury 2 in 1992 and has remained one of the franchise’s most recognizable fighters ever since. A devoted practitioner of taekwondo, Kim is driven by a fierce sense of justice and the belief that “evil is unforgivable.” His latest appearance also marks a notable moment for the series, as it will be the first time Kim has been playable in the same game as his sons, Dong Hwan and Jae Hoon.
Kim will be voiced by June Yoon in English and Kunihiro Kawamoto in Japanese. Despite his legendary status as a taekwondo master, he continues to train relentlessly in his pursuit of greater strength, with his signature kicks once again serving as his primary weapon against those who stand in his way.
His arrival will also bring new story content to City of the Wolves. In Arcade Mode, Kim continues balancing his own training with teaching and raising his sons before returning to KOF to put his skills and convictions to the test. His Episodes of South Town story sees him return to South Town after a lengthy absence, where he reunites with Tizoc, who helped guide Dong Hwan and Jae Hoon during Kim’s time away. The reunion gives the three Kims a chance to confront long-held feelings and explore the family dynamic between the veteran fighter and his now-grown sons.
Fans attending Tokyo Game Show 2026 will have an opportunity to try Kim Kaphwan before his official release. He will be playable at the CFD Sales (Crowxis) booth, located at 01-C13 in Hall 1 of Makuhari Messe.
Season Pass 3 is available for $19.99 / €19.99 for players who already own the base game. SNK is also offering the FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Revenge Edition, which includes the base game alongside Season Passes 1, 2, and 3, for $49.99 / €49.99.
