Blaze Entertainment has today announced multiple new cartridge collections for Evercade, completing the Evercade 2023 cartridge line-up. During the Evercade Showcase Vol.2 pre-recorded broadcast, four new collections were announced, bringing 12 more games to Evercade. This show focused on indie games and modern retro indie titles – highlighting the great work of indie developers, homebrew developers, and new independent studios across retro consoles, retro home computers and new native games.
Evercade Showcase Vol. 2 was not only a way for Evercade to show and announce upcoming collections, but to also highlight the importance of indie games and indie development, and how the Evercade audience is a great home for many titles that may often be overlooked or lost on modern consoles vast digital storefronts.
With Evercade, these developers not only get their game in front of a crowd of excited fans wanting to play new games but also a physical release of their game as part of a collection. We’re incredibly proud of the vehicle that Evercade has become for modern retro indie games and were happy to get the involvement of multiple developers to show their own games in this broadcast.
Starting with today’s biggest announcement – Evercade’s first ever single game cartridge. Introducing Full Void from OutOfTheBit – a wonderful cinematic 2D platformer with nods to great retro games like Another World. This game is native to Evercade, meaning it is not emulated, and marks the first physical release for this game, released last week on Steam.
During the showcase, the team at OutOfTheBit showcased some of the features and development processes behind the games. The game also comes with a full colour manual and an included Prologue comic to further the plot of the game.
This cartridge will be available at the standard Evercade SRP of £17.99|$19.99|€19.99, and will be released in October 2023. Pre-orders open August 1st 2023.
In addition to this being the first Evercade collection with a single game, we also decided to do something special by creating the Evercade Full Void Special Edition.
Available at select retailers, this version of the cartridge comes with an exclusive blue cartridge and Special Edition cart inlay, stickers, a double-sided poster, and an exclusive artbook of the beautiful hand-drawn environments and animations created for the game.
This comes in a Special Edition cardboard Sleeve and will retail at £24.99|$29.99|€29.99 and will be released in October 2023. Pre-orders for this version of the cartridge also open August 1st 2023.

The Evercade EXP handheld gaming system is available globally and includes the IREM Arcade 1 cartridge collection and 18 built-in Capcom games.
The Evercade VS home console systems are currently available worldwide from Amazon and other local retailers.
Evercade devices play games via emulation on bespoke cartridges. There are currently 37 collections available and another 12 between now and February 2024.
Evercade emulates a wide range of systems (including 8, 16, 32-bit consoles, handhelds, THEC64 and Amiga home computers and arcade games), and also highlights modern retro games created by indie developers, with support for five decades of gaming.
Evercade cartridges have three distinct colour schemes to highlight their content. Red coloured boxes feature home console collections from multiple systems across five decades of gaming. Purple indicates Arcade game collections and Blue is for home computer collections.
