D4 Enterprises will release Babylon in their EGGCONSOLE line of Japanese computer games next week on the Nintendo Switch eshop.

Released in back 1986 by an obscure developer called Xtal Soft. It is a side scrolling Metroidvania style RPG very reminiscent to Falcom’s games like Xanadu or Konami’s Maze of Galious on MSX with a very nice YM2203 FM soundtrack. Commodore 64 fans might recognize this one as “Curse of Babylon”. This is the original Japanese PC-88 version here.

Like all EGGCONSOLE releases it will have rewind, save state, video display features as well as digital manual and guide to help you out on parts with language barriers.

EGGCONSOLE Babylon will be released on the Nintendo Switch eshop on 12/26 for $6.49 USD. Here is some footage below.
