Your next JRPG adventure doesn’t have to take you away from your desktop. Duelist: Idle Expedition, a taskbar-based idle auto-battler from One Interactive Studio and Infini Fun, is now available on Steam, letting players recruit hand-drawn warriors, develop their fighting styles, and manage a travelling guild while getting on with their day.
Players can assemble a team from 91 unique Duelist roles spanning seven main classes and 21 subclasses, with more than 200 pieces of equipment to collect and customize through enchantments. Defeating rival Duelists also unlocks their followers and regional combat styles, giving players additional ways to refine their party’s strategy as they journey across the Continent.
Beyond combat, the game features a camp management system built around recruiting new fighters at the Tavern, upgrading equipment at the Blacksmith, and selling spoils through the Shopkeeper to fund future expeditions. Its idle progression allows the guild to keep fighting and developing while players focus on other tasks.
Duelist: Idle Expedition is available now on Steam for $8.99 USD, with a 20% launch discount running for the first two weeks. Two DLC packs are also available. The $1.99 Supporter Pack adds Camp Four Seasons skins and receives its own 20% launch discount, while the $0.99 Beginner Pack introduces the Instructor character alongside a resource pack. The Beginner Pack is free for the first month.
Players can also claim a limited-time launch reward package during the two-week discount period. The bundle includes the Oathsword, a Mythic weapon that deals percentage-based True Damage with basic attacks, alongside two unusual late-game equipment pieces. The Golden Poop slows enemies who step on it by 90% for two seconds, while the Mighty Weight makes a Duelist 10% larger and 10% slower every three seconds in battle.
With support for 31 languages, a sizeable roster of character roles, and a progression system designed to run alongside everyday desktop activities, Duelist: Idle Expedition offers a different way to approach the familiar appeal of building and optimizing a JRPG-inspired party.
