The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is a legendary title, no pun intended, but there is a lot that was cut from the game, and now we have learned of even more. Nintendo once has a microphone peripheral for the N64 that was ultimately only used in two games, Hey You Pikachu and Densha de Go 2., but it was planned for more.  And new information has revealed that Majora’s Mask was originally planned to be one of those games.

Certain commands would accomplish saying certain commands, such as “Hai Chiizu” (“Say Cheese”), to have a picture taken, or saying  “Miruku” (“Milk”) next to a cow instead of playing Epona’s Song. Other planned commands include saying“Atonanjikan” (“How many hours remain?”) next to a Gossip Stone instead of hitting it with your sword, to know telling you how much time is left,  Okirou (“Wake Up”), to skip Sonata of Awakening and wake scrubs up, and  “Haiya” while riding Epona instead of pressing the A button and using a carrot to go faster.

There seems to have been a sit command intended to be used with dogs, but it does not actually work with anything.

You can see the microphone voice commands in Majora’s Mask in the video below.
