Crown Gambit will launch June 18 on PC and Mac

Playdigious Originals proudly announces the narrative tactical card game Crown Gambit developed by Wild Wits Games will launch June 18 on PC and Mac.

Crown Gambit is a tactical narrative card game set in a chaotic capital where players must prevent the kingdom’s downfall. The game is set in a mysterious, dark fantasy world inspired by Celtic and Breton folklore, and French artist Gobert is the artistic director. Players take on the role of three fearless paladins who navigate turbulent political landscapes. After pledging allegiance to one of the throne’s contenders, they must help them seize power. The key is to follow their principles but beware: every choice comes with a price.

Crown Gambit combines impactful card-based combat and deck-building with rich storytelling, offering captivating narratives and multiple possible endings.

“Crown Gambit is a game of choices” Said Corto Laly, co-founder of Wild Wits Games. “Throughout its journey in the kingdom of Meodred, the player will be on his/her own and will have to face the consequences of his/her choices. There will not be a perfect scenario and it will be up to the players to make the best of any given situation and live by their decisions.”

The dark and mysterious universe of Crown Gambit has been inspired by the Celtic folklore. Imagined by the artist and art director Gobert, the visual style of Crown Gambit is singular and beautiful. “Crown Gambit is the first game I am given the chance to work on as an artist” confides Gobert. “I am delighted to bring my visual universe to a brand new audience”

GAME FEATURES:

• Lead a Team of Three Bold Paladins: Players will take charge of Aliza, the bloodthirsty swordswoman; Hael, the radiant mace-wielding cleric; and Rollo, the cunning rogue armed with his crushing anchor. Together, they must navigate the chaos of political turmoil.
• Strategic Deck Preparation: Each paladin’s deck must be meticulously crafted to overcome the challenges ahead. Synergizing abilities and fostering a well-coordinated team will be key to defeating foes in style—every move matters!
• Epic Turn-Based Tactical Card Battles: Face dishonorable scoundrels, formidable knights, and occult beasts in thrilling, strategic combat. Unlock devastating techniques and shape each paladin’s unique abilities as you progress.
