Crazy Taxi: World Tour is taking its chaotic taxi rides to Japan, with SEGA revealing the game’s latest destination during the recent Xbox Livestream at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
Japan becomes the second international location revealed for the upcoming Crazy Taxi revival and the third of five maps featured in the game’s new single-player World Tour story campaign. As expected from the series, players can look forward to plenty of opportunities to put the pedal down while navigating a city that mixes modern landmarks with historic neighborhoods.
The Japan map will let players weave through towering skyscrapers, speed along winding expressways and tear through the bustling streets while picking up passengers and exploring the city. The map will also feature recognizable locations inspired by real-world Japan, including ICHIRAN, Kani Doraku and SHIBUYA109.
SEGA has yet to reveal all five locations that will make up Crazy Taxi: World Tour’s World Tour campaign, leaving more destinations to be announced ahead of launch. The Japan reveal nevertheless gives players another look at how the new game is expanding the classic Crazy Taxi formula beyond its original setting.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is currently scheduled to launch in 2027 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The game will also support Xbox Play Anywhere, while wishlists are currently available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam and PlayStation 5.
