Bloober Team has a number of projects in the works and another has come to light. Code-named Project M, the game is planned as an exclusive for Nintendo platforms and has been in pre production for about a year, and is now entering its production phase. This news comes from an interview with Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno, who also noted that despite having a smaller budget, Project M is an important project for the company and also mentioned that the title is being made “in cooperation with the world’s best game creators for Nintendo platforms”.
“Project M, although its budget is significantly smaller than the games we are working on at Bloober Team, is extremely important due to our long-term plans. In addition, we are working on it in cooperation with the world’s best game creators for Nintendo platforms, so we cannot afford to create just a decent game.”
Some are taking this in a way to assume that Nintendo and Bloober are directly working together on a game. While that’s possible, it’s not confirmed here outright.
Some have been theorizing that this is related to Emio. the new horror game Nintendo teased today, but that game has already received a rating and marketing push. Project M seems to have a ways to go, so we will have to wait and see what Project M ends up being.
