Back in 2021, it was announced that an Indiana Jones game developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks was in the works and we now have an update. According to Bethesda Softworks vice president Pete Hines, the game will be exclusive to Xbox on console. This was revealed during questioning in the Microsoft vs. Federal Trade Commission case over the approval of Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Hines noted that the original deal Bethesda signed with Disney for the production of an Indiana Jones game was for multiple consoles, but the deal was amended following the completion of Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda Softworks parent company Zenimax Media to be Xbox-only for consoles.
