Arctic Eggs is bringing its peculiar take on cooking to more consoles, with the physics-based cooking simulator now available on Xbox Series X|S and versions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on the way. Published by CRITICAL REFLEX and developed by The Water Museum, the game is available on Xbox for $9.99, expanding beyond its original PC release in May 2024.

Rather than offering a conventional cooking experience, Arctic Eggs challenges players to prepare food using physics-driven mechanics that demand a surprising amount of precision. Players take on the role of a disgraced Poultry Peddler in a bizarre Antarctic settlement, cooking eggs and feeding the inhabitants while navigating the game’s deliberately unconventional world.

The game’s offbeat humor extends to its unusual culinary questions, with players encouraged to experiment with ingredients and cooking techniques in ways that go well beyond making a simple omelet. Its combination of tricky physics, surreal writing, and an unusual setting helps distinguish it from more traditional cooking simulators.

While Xbox players can jump into Arctic Eggs today, CRITICAL REFLEX and The Water Museum have not yet announced release dates for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch versions. The newly released console trailer offers another look at the strange cooking challenges awaiting players.
