HAMSTER has announced that this week’s Arcade Archives game will be Stinger, an early shmup from Raiden developer Seibu Kaihatsu.
Stinger is a shooter released by Seibu Kaihatsu in 1983. Take control of the “Stinger Wolf” and head to the center of an enemy base where evil life forms roam. In an emergency, you can call on the friendly robot “Bongo” to automatically destroy the enemy.
The “Arcade Archives” series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.
Arcade Archives Stinger will release on PS4 and Switch on July 24, 2025.
