A sad day for fans worldwide as Akira Toriyama, the creator of the Dragon Ball franchise as well as Dr. Slump and others had died. It was announced that he passed away on March 1, 2024, due to subdural hematoma at the age of 68.
The official Dragon Ball account requests that fans do not request interviews from Toriyama’s family, visit them, or their items like flowers or condolence gifts.
Toriyama played a large role in gaming history with his work on Dragon Quest and also Chrono Trigger, not to mention the many adaptations of his work.
This is a tragic loss for all.
