The Fallout series has seen a surge of popularity recently, thanks to the Fallout TV show and the games are getting a new wave of players. In fact, even the classic games are getting love from fans and in interesting ways.
Over on Reddit, user Loopuze1 noted how they always wanted to play the first Fallout and had it for years, but their computer wasn’t powerful enough to run it. After some thinking, Loopuze1 decided on a homebrew project and created a custom port of the game for the 3DS.
Loopuze1 also noted that the process wasn’t even that arduous, and that the port runs great. In the thread, they also showed how to get the port working on the 3DS with legitimately-purchased versions of Fallout, meaning this seems to be on the up-and-up, for now anyway.
