CD Projekt RED is preparing to bring players back to Night City with Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5, a free update inspired by the newly released Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 anime. The update launches October 22 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version set to follow shortly afterward.
Dubbed the Edgerunners 2 Update, version 2.5 will introduce new items and features inspired by the anime, alongside additional gameplay options. Among the features already teased are cyberware customization and a new dual-wielding playstyle, giving players a couple of reasons to revisit V’s adventures.
CD Projekt RED will offer a closer look at the update during a special REDstreams broadcast on October 21 at 11:00 a.m. ET. The presentation will be streamed on YouTube, Twitch, and Steam, with official patch notes also scheduled to arrive that day.
With Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 now available on Netflix, the update provides another way for fans to return to the franchise’s neon-soaked world. More details about its new features and additions should emerge during tomorrow’s presentation, ahead of the update’s launch later this week.
