The Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered demo may contain a few clues about what is happening behind the scenes, as a discovery in the game’s executable has revealed references to downloadable content (DLC) and skins.
Cpt Hazama shared the discovery on social media, confirming that the demo’s executable contains numerous function calls and handlers associated with DLC. The game’s menus also include multiple calls referencing DLC and skins, although the purpose of these functions remains unclear.
There is currently no indication of what this code might be intended for, and Cpt Hazama cautioned that it could simply be leftover code carried over into the remastered version. Since the findings come from the demo rather than a confirmed announcement of additional content, they do not necessarily mean that DLC or new skins are planned for release.
Still, the references are an interesting find for fans keeping an eye on the remaster. Whether they point towards potential post-launch content or are simply remnants of the game’s underlying code remains to be seen.
