SEGA has revealed the first free character coming to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds during Year Two, and it’s none other than Bayonetta. The legendary Umbra Witch will be joining the roster as part of the game’s upcoming Year Two content, giving players another unexpected crossover to take onto the track.
Bayonetta’s addition will come with her own Butterfly Witch machine, along with special emotes and sounds. SEGA showcased the new content in a trailer released ahead of Tokyo Game Show, offering fans their first look at the character in action.
The trailer also featured additional gameplay footage from the Godzilla and EVANGELION Packs, which were previously announced at Summer Game Fest 2026 as the first two DLC Packs planned for Year Two. SEGA has promised that even more information will be revealed during the World Championship Finals and Year Two Showcase livestream on Friday, October 9.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is currently available digitally and physically for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC starting at $69.99 USD. The game is also available on Nintendo Switch starting at $59.99 USD, while the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is available digitally and physically for $69.99 USD.
