Studio Daimon has revealed a new look at gameplay for Food Devils, a risqué tactical RPG roguelite that will launch for PC via Steam on November 5, with console versions planned for a later date.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Food Devils puts players in the role of the last chef alive, tasked with attracting adventurers by creating dishes using monstrous ingredients. Players will recruit Food Devils by convincing them to sign contracts, then send their party out on expeditions to gather the ingredients needed to keep their restaurant growing.
The game combines tactical RPG combat with roguelite elements, allowing players to customize their restaurant and characters while battling monsters and collecting loot. Devil Contracts can also be used to enhance skills and mobility, with different classes offering various strategic possibilities when assembling a party. Adventurers feature randomized appearances and stats, ensuring that each run can play out differently, while the Food Devils themselves have individually designed characters.
Romance is another major part of the experience, with players able to pursue relationships with Food Devils or pair two of them together. Between expeditions, players can learn more about the characters, uncover their secrets, and explore their individual desires.
The world is divided into four distinct biomes, each featuring its own monsters, loot, and rare ingredients. These resources can be used to experiment with new dishes, giving players more ways to expand their restaurant and attract new adventurers.
Food Devils will launch for PC via Steam on November 5, with console versions coming soon.
