Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is about to get a whole lot more festive. SEGA has released the free Samba de Amigo content drop, bringing the colorful rhythm game mascot Amigo into the racing lineup alongside a new ride and plenty of themed extras.
Players can now take Amigo onto the track as a playable character, complete with a special “Amigo (Classic)” skin featuring his signature sombrero. His accompanying vehicle is the Locomotive de Amigo, giving the new racer a suitably flamboyant way to tear through the CrossWorlds.
The content drop also adds new emotes and music, including the 2023 version of “VAMOS A CARNAVAL” for the final lap and “Let’s find and shake it,” which can be played through the Jukebox.
Players can also earn festival points from September 10 at 5:00 PM PT through September 13 at 4:59 PM PT, with rewards including decals, gadgets and other items.
The Samba de Amigo content drop is available at no additional cost to owners of either the Standard or Digital Deluxe editions of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Players will need to make sure the game is updated to the latest version for the content to download properly.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch OLED Model and Nintendo Switch Lite. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is also available physically and digitally.
