SEGA has released a new trailer for Crazy Taxi: World Tour during gamescom Opening Night Live, giving fans their first look at the upcoming game’s multiplayer modes.
The new multiplayer experience will turn the city into a shared playground where players can compete for passengers, battle for control of the streets, discover shortcuts and create plenty of chaotic moments inspired by the classic Crazy Taxi experience.
Axel won’t be taking on the city alone, either. The latest trailer confirms the return of fan-favorite characters Gena, B.D. Joe and Gus, who will once again hit the streets and compete for fares when Crazy Taxi: World Tour launches in 2027.
The trailer also features Bad Religion’s “Ten in 2010,” one of several songs from the original Crazy Taxi soundtrack making a return. Other confirmed returning tracks include “All I Want” and “Change the World” by The Offspring, along with “Them and Us” and “Inner Logic” by Bad Religion. SEGA says additional details about the soundtrack, including new artists joining the lineup, will be revealed at a later date.
Players will also have an opportunity to get an early look at the game’s new online multiplayer features through the Crazy Taxi: World Tour Multiplayer Closed Network Test (CNT), which is scheduled to take place from September 11 to 13.
Applications for the CNT are now open in select regions and will remain available until August 31. Players selected to participate will be among the first to experience the game’s new online multiplayer modes ahead of its full release. Additional information about participating countries, requirements and how to apply can be found on the official CNT website.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is scheduled to launch in 2027 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The game will also support Xbox Play Anywhere and is currently available to wishlist on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam and PlayStation 5.
