Inti Creates has released for details about detailed the Expansion Pass content and the sixth free update for Card-en-Ciel alongside the launch of the Switch 2 version.
The $9.99 Expansion Pass will add two new downloadable content packs—“The World of Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark” on February 19, and “The World of the Blaster Master Zero Series” on March 12. Both will include new dungeons, cards, events, and more, and each pack can also be purchased individually for $4.99. The free update adds “Real Challenge Battles,” improved network battles, a new Extra Dungeon, and more.
Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark and Blaster Master Zero come to Card-en-Ciel
These two downloadable content packs bring brand new content to the world of Card-en-Ciel, with new story content, dungeons, and cards. Gal Guardians Servants of the Dark features characters from the 2D Metroidvania released last year, and the Blaster Master Zero series adds content featuring all three games from the retro reboot.
Each downloadable content pack will add two new dungeons (including one with brand-new story and voice acting), multiple new cards, new random events, and a new Muse. Players will be able to access this content after progressing partway through the main story.
“The World of Gal Guardians Servants of the Dark” downloadable content will release on February 19, and “The World of the Blaster Master Zero Series” downloadable content comes on March 12. Also launching on February 19 for $9.99, the Expansion Pass will grant players access to these downloadable content immediately upon their respective releases, plus a new Neon card for purchasing.
The two packs will also be available individually for $4.99 each.
New Free Content Update Available Today
A new content update for Card-en-Ciel is releasing today to all platforms, bringing new content, challenges, and improvements.
“Real Challenge Battles” will task players with completing a pre-set battle in a limited number of moves, rewarding new Parallel Cards to those who can complete them.
Network Battles have been improved, making sure the all-important initial Muse selection remains balanced, as well as giving players a chance to re-roll their choices.
A new Extra Dungeon will also provide experts players with a fun challenge, upping the rate that Parallel Cards appear.
Card-en-Ciel – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Out Now
Card-en-Ciel – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is now available (January 29) on Nintendo eShop! The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition boasts selectable high resolution 4K and high frame rate 120 frames per second modes. Players can also swap to mouse controls at any time by changing the position of the Joy-Con 2, allowing for quick selection of cards during battle.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is available for $29.99, or as an upgrade from the Switch version for $4.99.
