Back in July 2024, Bloober Team announced Project M, which was described as “extremely important” to the studio’s long-term plans. The game is planned for Nintendo platforms, but we have gone without any real information since the announcement.

The wait for news is almost over though, as in a chat with Nintendo-Insider, Bloober Team’s Piotr Babieno did provide some information, albeit not a lot, and again played up just how closely tied this project is to Nintendo.

You have no idea how hard it is for me not to reveal what Project M truly is—but for now, it’s still too early to talk about it. We’re confident that we’ll be able to share the first details very soon.

What I can say is this: fans of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo, and Eternal Darkness will immediately feel at home. That said, Project M introduces a bold twist—one that no horror game has ever explored before. This is a vision that could only exist on Nintendo hardware.

We are very excited for what this could be, and why it could only exist on Nintendo hardware. Is it using a Nintendo IP perhaps? Or a remake of a classic game? We will get answers soon it seems.
