Retroware sent out the following

If you’ve yet to get a taste of the pixelated peril that awaits in The Angry Video Game Nerd 8-Bit, now’s your chance to do so. Retroware is excited to announce that a demo for the game is now available to download on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

With this demo, owners of Nintendo’s hybrid console can get a taste of the latest AVGN game’s unforgiving precision platforming and brutal boss battles from the comfort of their own Nerd Rooms (or even while trying to land an F14 on an aircraft carrier)!

The Angry Video Game Nerd 8-Bit demo offers two Nerd Rage-inducing stages to experience. Say “hasta la vista” to legions of heavily-armed cyborgs before enduring the carbonated carnage of Speziman. Then, if you’re feeling brave enough, guide The Nerd through a graveyard full of ghouls and grim reapers before facing a flying red fiend that would leave the bravest knight shaking in his heart-patterned shorts.

About the game:

Developed by Programancer, the creator of Prison City and The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest, The Angry Video Game Nerd 8-Bit combines fast and furious action, brutal boss battles, and precision platforming designed to put your retrogaming skills to the test as you guide The Nerd through six stages inspired by his most hated NES games to defeat a monstrous corruption.

The Angry Video Game Nerd 8-Bit is now available for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam. Those who purchase the game before November 6 will receive a 10% launch discount.
