Who remembers 2023’s The Last Hope: Dead Zone Survival? It was an indie game for Nintendo Switch that blatantly ripped off PlayStation’s The Last of Us franchise and was ultimately pulled from the eShop. Well now Nintendo has experienced something similar with one of its IP, as developer LightGamess has launched Mariostro Strikers: Soccer League on the Xbox, and well, one look at the game’s art will tells it all as it is clear from the name and artwork that the devs are looking to cash in on Nintendo’s success with both Mario and the Mario Strikers franchise.

How something this blatant got onto the Microsoft Store is a mystery. Furthermore, a closer look at the image above shows that, like many  probably suspected. the artwork is AI-generated and it seems so was the game’s official description, which reads as follows:

“Dive into the thrilling world of arcade-style soccer with [Your Game Name Here]! Experience the excitement of 4v4 matches, where every player counts. With 10 unique and fun teams to choose from, you’ll dribble, pass, and shoot your way to victory while defending your goal with a skilled goalkeeper.”

It should be noted that  “[Your Game Name Here]” is actually in the game’s description, so the developers could not even be bothered to do minimal effort.

It remains to be seen how long before this one is pulled.
