SEGA and RGG Studio held the first Like A Dragon Direct of the year and it started with a recap of what new and veteran players can expect from the upcoming game Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii. For those unfamiliarPirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a spin-off sequel to Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and is the first solo starring adventure for Goro Majima.
The direct included notable features such as detailing the New Game+ mode which will once again be fee, after the previous game paywalled the feature.New Game+ mode will arrive as a free update shortly after the game launches on February 21, 2025, and you will be able to carry over all the costumes and progress.
The Direct also highlighted combat, such as how Goro Majima now has two unique combat styles, including his signature Mad Dog, which brings versatility to land-based battles, and now Sea Dog. The latter is a new style tailored for enhanced naval combat, and comes with a real-time naval clash The pirate ships will contain weaponized cannons and other functional enhancements you can obtain in the game.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
