ByJonathan Balofsky

Aug 7, 2024

Meta has announced that it has closed Lone Echo series developer Ready at Dawn. Ready at Dawn was founded in 2003, and acquired by Meta in June 2020. The acquisition was part of Meta’s virtual reality game development capabilities push.

Ready at Dawn is known for its work on a number of games, including Daxter, God of War: Chains of Olympus, and God of War: Ghost of Sparta for PSP, God of War: Origins Collection for PlayStation 3, and The Order: 1886 for PlayStation 4.

Android Central, is reporting that Meta is encouraging former Ready at Dawn staff to apply for a role elsewhere within Oculus Studios with the hopes to retain as many employees as possible.
