The classic title King of the Monsters has just turned 35 years old, and SNK took to social media to celebrate.
While sharing a post highlighting the anniversary, one developer had an interesting response on X (formerly Twitter).
13AM Games tweeted in response to SNK’s post “we’re ready to make a sequel when you are! 😉”
13AM Games certainly does know a thing or two about giant monster games, having developed Dawn of the Monsters, a Kaiju beat em up title that won praise from many, and was noted for adding in fighting game elements not usually seen in beat em ups, similar to King of the Monsters, making it clear where some of the inspiration came from.
If SNK ever does wish to make a new King of the Monsters, then 13AM Games would be a great choice to go with.
